NAMTECH (New Age Makers' Institute of Technology), Gandhinagar and Technical University of Munich (TUM) Asia celebrated an important milestone in their first batch graduation ceremony of joint International Professional Master's Program (iPMP) in Smart Manufacturing, in a recent ceremony.

The iPMP for Smart Manufacturing is a fully residential, 1-year fast-track Master's Program conducted by NAMTECH in partnership with TUM Asia, the sole international campus of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany.

The program is based on the building block created by a B.E. / B.Tech degree and provides a specially designed curriculum for Industry 4.0 setup. It provides future-proof skills in automation, IIoT, Digital Twin, Industrial and Collaborative Robots, and high-end production processes. The Program's robust industry relevance and experiential learning philosophy places these graduates well to make a meaningful contribution in India's rapidly changing manufacturing arena.

As a follow-up, NAMTECH and TUM Asia are currently exploring the three new one-year International Professional Master's Programs starting from August 2025:

iPMP in Sustainability Engineering & Management
iPMP in Semiconductor Manufacturing
iPMP in Advanced Robotics Technology

These Programs take an experiential learning, industry-focused approach to develop the students into global manufacturing experts in emerging technologies. Through practical modules, and direct interaction with industry leaders, graduates will acquire the technical and leadership competencies needed to thrive in high-tech industries.

Strengthening a Strategic Partnership for Industry Impact
The NAMTECH-TUM Asia collaboration is a testament to the common vision of closing the skills gap in India's high-tech manufacturing industry. By integrating TUM's internationally acclaimed technical education system with NAMTECH's extensive industry network, the institutions seek to generate highly qualified professionals capable of fulfilling industry needs in India.

"The graduation of our inaugural cohort is a testament to the power of this partnership", added Dr. Markus Wachter, Managing Director at TUM Asia. "As we launch new Programs, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering students with world-class knowledge and hands-on experience to succeed in the global manufacturing arena".

"NAMTECH is among India's premier institutions in space in Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology (MET), which connects global academia and industry. It is being shaped as a platform institution for experiential education. We are committed to developing world-class engineering professionals through innovative, modular education. We are confident that in collaboration with TUM, we will be reaching more milestones in nurturing the future ready technologist in India", says ArunKumar Pillai, Director General, NAMTECH.
