  • NBEMS deployed 2,200+ senior faculty, flying squads, mobile jammers, and real-time CCTV monitoring to ensure strict anti-malpractice measures.
  • Coordination with state police, I4C cyber commandos, and central ministries ensured robust security, power continuity, and cyber protection throughout the exam.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) successfully held the NEET PG 2025 exam, seeing the attendance of over 2.42 lakh medical students. Conducted in a single shift, the examination was held in 301 cities at 1,052 centres, making it India's largest computer-based test held in one session.

For the credibility and impartiality of the process, NBEMS undertook strict measures to regain the confidence of the candidates in the examination system. More than 2,200 senior teaching faculty from medical colleges and accredited hospitals were stationed to ensure smooth conduct and impose a zero-tolerance regime against malpractices.

To prepare for the exam, the Board coordinated with state police chiefs and chief secretaries to ensure proper security, continuous power, and cyber security at all centers. Local police and district administrations also offered assistance to ensure law and order throughout the test.

Special focus was given to avoiding cyber malpractice. The NBEMS joined hands with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, sending about 300 cyber commandos to vulnerable points to thwart possible online scams and attempts at cheating.

Real-time monitoring was the other major highlight. Over 200 officials deployed at the NBEMS headquarters tracked live CCTV footage of all exam centers. Besides, senior faculty, medical college directors and deans, and members of the NBEMS governing body were organized into flying squads to enhance multi-layer security at test centers.

Mobile signal jammers were placed at all centers where exams were held to prevent unauthorized communication, and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as well as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) closely monitored the arrangements, issuing timely instructions whenever necessary.
