In the recently announced CBSE class 10 and 12 board exam results, girls have outperformed boys by over five percentage points, according to Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj. This year, the overall pass percentage for candidates stands at 88.39%, a slight increase from last year's 87.98%.
Girls achieved an impressive pass percentage of 91.64%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 85.70%. Notably, transgender candidates have shown remarkable improvement, achieving a 100% pass rate compared to just 50% last year. This year's results reflect the growing academic success among diverse groups.
A total of 1,11,544 candidates scored above 90% marks, with 24,867 candidates achieving scores above 95%. These figures highlight the exceptional performance of students in the board exams. However, over 1.29 lakh candidates have been placed in the compartment category, indicating areas where students may need additional support to improve their scores.
In the class 10 exams, the pass rate exceeded 93%, with girls again outperforming boys by over 2 percentage points. This trend underscores the consistent academic excellence among female students in the CBSE system.
