  • Online course trains professionals in quantum computing, AI, and machine learning
  • Learners work on hands-on projects using Qiskit, PennyLane, and IBM Quantum Systems
  • Prepares participants for roles in quantum R&D, secure technologies, and AI innovation

IIT Roorkee has launched an Advanced Certificate in Quantum Computing, Algorithms and AI/ML to help professionals upskill for the fast emerging quantum tech era. Delivered online over 6.5 months, the programme focuses on blending quantum theory with real-world AI/ML applications.

Offered through IIT Roorkee’s Continuing Education Centre (CEC) in collaboration with TimesPro, the course guides learners through quantum internet protocols, secure communications, and quantum machine learning. Participants will build hands-on projects using platforms like Qiskit, PennyLane, and IBM Quantum Systems.

The curriculum covers five core modules, from basics of quantum computing to advanced applications of Quantum Neural Networks (QNNs), Quantum GANs, and Quantum Support Vector Machines (QSVMs). Participants will also explore Shor’s, Grover’s, and Simon’s algorithms, and learn to develop secure quantum communication protocols like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and teleportation.

Prof. Kaushik Ghosh, Coordinator in CEC, IIT Roorkee, said, “We designed this programme to bridge theory and deployment. Learners will move beyond prototypes to production-grade applications in sectors like finance, healthcare, and data security”.
