With a huge young population within the age bracket 5-24 years, the Indian education sector is profoundly growing today. IBEF reports, the education market in India to amount to $225 billion by 2025. In terms of higher education, India has one of the largest networks of higher education institutions in the world. Approximately, the entire higher education ecosystem in India comprises 1000+ universities and 42,000+ colleges imparting exemplary education. All these institutions are under proper administration of the Ministry of Education. As of 18 October 2022, the list of central universities published by the UGC counts 54 active central universities.
