Mallarapu Tanoogna from the Department of Civil Engineering excelled at National Indoor Archery Championship-2021, winning three gold medals and finishing 8th in the National Open Ranking, representing Andhra Pradesh. G Ram Dheeraj from Civil Engineering has been selected to climb Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. Three gold medals in state level rifle shooting championship, E-bike for sustainable development, First Prize at iHack Alpha AI Hackathon with a cash prize of $2300 for developing AI Voice App, $1200 Bounty from Microsoft Bug Bounty Program, which was presented by Mr Jason Pessemier-Microsoft Security Programme Manager are some of the recent highlights.

The Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy organised a startup venture cohort to facilitate 36 startup ideas with seed funding, mentorship and guidance from industry experts. OurEye.ai, a startup with intelligence surveillance solution that has generated $120000 angel investment and an additional investment of $500000. Lakshman Thatikonda, a BBA student, has started his own business venture TalentCrew, which was incubated at the Hatchlab Research Centre (The technology and livelihood business incubator of SRM University-AP). His turnover has crossed Rs. 1Cr with an employee base of 12 differently abled individuals. Jithin Peram from BTech has started Amruthik Pvt. Ltd, a company which supplies customised food to various hospitals.
