The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has launched its Case Research Centre (CRC), a facility aimed at making management education more practical and relevant to India’s business and social landscape. The centre will create case studies based on Indian companies, startups, government projects, and social organizations.

With this launch, IIM Nagpur becomes the fourth IIM in Indiam, after Ahmedabad, Calcutta, and Bangalore to establish a dedicated case research centre. The institute has partnered with Ivey Publishing, the world’s second-largest producer of management case studies, to drive collaboration and global knowledge exchange.

Prof. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, called the centre a milestone as global universities expand their footprint in India. Ivey Publishing’s Violetta Gallagher described the CRC as a “story engine” that captures unique narratives from India’s dynamic business environment, fostering cross-border learning. Alejandro Garcia of Ivey highlighted the potential to co-create cases that will be studied in classrooms across India, Canada, and the world.
