IIM Calcutta, in collaboration with TimesPro, has opened admissions for the fifth batch of its Executive Programme in Healthcare Management (EPHM). With India’s healthcare spending projected to rise sharply by 2030 and the demand for skilled professionals increasing across the sector, the program aims to build a strong pipeline of future-ready healthcare leaders.

EPHM is a 12-month LIVE online program designed to equip professionals with essential managerial and strategic capabilities tailored for healthcare settings. It covers leadership, strategy, operations, finance, marketing, economics, HR, and digital health. The program is suitable for professionals from hospitals, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, health insurance, public health, and consulting. Graduates can transition into roles such as managers, business heads, analysts, entrepreneurs, or emerging healthcare leaders.

A key feature of the program is two five-day on-campus immersions at IIM Calcutta, giving participants direct exposure to faculty insights and peer learning. The curriculum is structured around three pillar like healthcare context, sector-specific insights, and functional management skills. Learners explore public policy, regulatory frameworks, hospital operations, health economics, digital transformation, data-driven decision making, and entrepreneurship. Case studies, projects, and a capstone assignment ensure hands-on application of concepts.

Industry estimates suggest India’s healthcare sector could surpass USD 1.5 trillion by 2030 and require over 6 million additional skilled professionals, highlighting the need for advanced training in management and leadership.

Eligible applicants include medical graduates with three years of experience, biotech and biomedical professionals, and non-medical candidates with at least five years in the healthcare sector. The last date to apply is November 23, 2025.
