IIT Gandhinagar Launches GenAI-Powered PG Diploma Programs

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has launched three GenAI-powered postgraduate diploma programs designed to equip professionals with next-generation skills in artificial intelligence, data science, and software engineering. Offered in partnership with Futurense Technologies, the six-month, fully residential programs aim to prepare India’s tech workforce for the evolving AI-driven economy.

The three new programs include a PG Diploma in AI and Agentic AI Engineering, PG Diploma in GenAI and Data Science Engineering, and PG Diploma in AI-Powered Software Engineering with Cloud. Each course offers over 600 hours of intensive, bootcamp-style learning equivalent to nearly two years of practical industry experience.

Professor Rajat Moona, Director of IIT Gandhinagar, said the institute’s goal is to develop creators who innovate with technology. “These programs bring together hands-on learning, real-world applications, and IIT’s immersive campus experience to shape India’s next generation of tech talent”, he added.

Raghav Gupta, Founder and CEO of Futurense Technologies, highlighted IIT Gandhinagar’s innovation-first approach, saying the collaboration will build engineers who think holistically rather than in silos.

Each program will admit only 60 candidates through the All India National Proficiency Test (AINPT) and a multi-stage interview process. Students will learn through 70% project-based and 30% faculty-led instruction, supported by mentorship from IIT faculty and industry leaders.

The first cohort begins in February 2026, with participants gaining access to executive alumni status, placement support, and Futurense’s professional network.
