  • Over 750 TELUS Digital India volunteers renovated Bihari Lal Inter College, benefiting 2,300 students and 57 teachers under the TELUS Days of Giving program.
  • The initiative included infrastructure upgrades, vibrant murals, and mentoring sessions connecting students with real-world career insights.
  • Marking its fifth school renovation in India, TELUS Digital continues to embody its 'We Give Where We Live' philosophy, fostering lasting educational and community impact.

Telus Digital India has reaffirmed its strong commitment to education and community development through a bold effort that engaged more than 750 volunteers from its Gurugram and Noida offices. The employees came together to overhaul Bihari Lal Inter College thoroughly, building a brighter, more inspiring school environment for more than 2,300 students and 57 teachers.

This mass initiative is the fifth school renovation project under the company's flagship 'TELUS Days of Giving' (TDOG) program, which has made a difference in the lives of over 6,300 students and educators in India since its inception in 2018. In its years of operation, over 2,200 TELUS volunteers have donated over 12,000 hours in support of education-based initiatives, reaffirming the organization's position that access to quality education is the foundation of social advancement.

The change at Bihari Lal Inter College went far deeper than superficial enhancements. Volunteers labored to revitalize 36 classrooms in five buildings, refresh six corridors and two outside walls, and decorate them with vibrant, motivational murals designed to encourage creativity and motivation. Behind the visible change, expert professionals addressed critical infrastructure improvements, such as waterproofing, plumbing restoration, and bathroom remodelling to make the campus not only more attractive but also more functional and sustainable for the long term.

Adding a personal and developmental element to the project, 30 experienced TELUS Digital employees delivered mentoring sessions for 60 secondary school students, spending three hours each on one-on-one and small-group discussions. Through these sessions, students were counseled by volunteers on career exploration, giving them insights into practical opportunities and assisting them in connecting their dreams with their abilities and interests. It was one moment that connected classroom learning to the world of work, informing students that their dreams could very well be turned into realities.

Resuming physical volunteer initiatives in 2023 and 2024 and marking this fifth milestone project in 2025 indicate a sustained growth and impact path.
