Viswanatha Raju Dandu ,DirectorIn 2006, when Vishwanath Raju, Director of Vector Institute stepped into Sathyam Computers corporate office to convince the HR Head for recruiting his students, apart from a confident mind he had nothing to show. His institute that trains students in Embedded Systems and VLSI Design was just one-year-old and hardly anyone in the industry acknowledged its presence. However, Vishwanath was not ready to take no for an answer and requested Sathyam Computer to spend few hours at Vector to see the difference. Eventually, Sathyam decided to give Vishwanath a chance. It was tough; from calling the names of candidates and sending them to interview panels and finally taking the results back from Sathyam's HR, Vishwanath had to handle every thing in that first ever placement drive conducted by Vector. "The results were astonishing. Though, the industry was reluctant to take fresh candidates at that point of time, we were able to place more than 40 students in Sathyam and we never looked back from there," says Vishwanath.

Today, with well-established training centres in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, Vector trains about , 000 students in Embedded Systems in a year and Vishwanath proudly claims that the institute does not have a near competitor in this field. Being India's first ISO 9001:2015 certified training institute, Vector is not only known for imparting brilliant embedded and VLSI system training program but also known for its outstanding placement record that has helped several candidates to grab lucrative and rewarding job in leading corporate houses and MNCs. Last year, the institute was able to attract over 290 companiesto their campuses and they have been maintaining an average package of 3 LPA and
highest being 7.2 LPA. Vishwanath says, "We not only hold responsibility of creating talented embedded professionals but we take care to make them capable, responsible, disciplined, dynamic and diligent to work in the competitive environment. Our overwhelming placement record has been possible due to the excellent performance of our candidates in the campus recruitment process."

With plans to attract 365 companies this year, Vector has emerged as the world leader in providing the highest quality Embedded and VLSI training courses

With plans to attract 365 companies this year, Vector has emerged as the world leader in providing the highest quality Embedded and VLSI training courses. However, unlike most of the training institute in the country, Vector does not admit students without an evaluation. Vector is the first and only private Embedded System training institute that conducts campus-based all India entrance tests for candidates seeking admission into their long-term courses. The entrance tests are organized at around 23 centres, once in every three months for candidates who wish to take admission in our Bangalore, Hyderabad or Chennai Centres of the institute. "The candidates are tested for Basic C programming, Aptitude, Basic knowledge on microprocessors and digital electronics. The admission test is quite transparent and has prompt selection process. Thus, only those candidates are selected for the training program, who can be ideally prepared for the challenging job environment of the embedded field," explains Vishwanath.

Like scrutinizing the students for major programs, Vector has stringent parameters while selecting trainers. The institute handpicks industry professionals who are passionate about teaching and all the trainers at vector posses minimum five years of experience in the electronics industry. "Any body to take a class here has to spend at least three years with us and has to
go through every stage of grooming before conducting their first class. Now, we have around 14 full time trainers and eight visiting faculties," says Vishwanath, who is proud about the core team of Vector, which has not been changed since its inception. With a team of industry professionals who have expertise in product design and development in several domains like Automotive, Satellite communication, Telecom and Aerospace, the institute presents practical lessons and techniques for use in Designing, Implementing, Integrating and Testing software for Modern Embedded Systems.

To serve the interests of practicing embedded software engineers as well as those engineers planning to enter the embedded field, Vector offers 24-Week Advanced Course in Embedded Systems, which is designed to offer application oriented training and real time exposure to students. "Our Embedded course aims at imparting technical skills to the students, right from the basics to advanced level. By the end of the program, the student is developed as the finished product, ready to join the industry," claims Vishwanath. Vector's training programs will impart hands-on experience on a spectrum of embedded applications, thereby improving the learner's efficiency and effectiveness in the field of embedded system. The institute also undertakes corporate trainings in Embedded Systems and VLSI Design.

Vector was awarded thrice "The Best Embedded Systems Training Institute in India" consecutively in 2011, 2012 and 2013 at the Big Brands Educational Excellence Awards; alongside majors like IITs, IIMs, Corporates like Siemens. They have also received "Asia Pacific Global" award for its contribution and value addition to the IT Industry, and appreciated for the same by Governor of Tamil Nadu and the Hon Prime Minister of India. Today, with necessary infrastructure to provide cutting-edge training to the aspiring learners, Vishwanath and his team at Vector is planning for geographical expansion. Soon, Vector will start two more centres in Pune and Delhi.
