Due to rapid urbanization and significant growth in personal disposable income, the land cost in Delhi has become exorbitantly high. Although Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has closed its doors for allotment to Group Housing Societies due to unavailability of land, its Land Pooling Policy (LPP) has opened up a window of opportunity for such societies. When a society submits five acres of agricultural land to DDA, the authority will develop the entire area and return the residential land equivalent to 60 percent of their land.
