Every year around 1.5 million engineers are graduating, making India factory churning out more and more engineers each year. However, even though the craze of engineering is unending, reports suggest that hardly seven percent of these engineers are employable and the ratio is traveling down as years pass by. Established in 2015, National Industrial Inspection & Training is a reputed institute in the field of Non-Destructive Testing, NDT Training, Consultancy, Inspection Services and NDT Services.

NIIT since its inception has made its repute by accepting complex NDT challenges and providing appropriate solutions to it. The enriched experience of Bajirao T. Kadam, Managing Director, NIIT, is helping the institute in maintaining the quality of services and training at the institute. “We are catering to the skilling needs by providing training in six major NDT methods which are Visual Testing, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Radiography Testing. These training services are aligned with the norms mentioned by ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) in ASNT SNT TC 1A. Our clients value the NDT training very much because it meets the modern industrial demands,” says Bajirao T. Kadam.

Apart from training learners in the six major NDT methods,
NIIT is an institute that trains aspiring QC (quality control) engineers in non-destructive evolution levels I, II, and III QC engineering. Describing the trainer learner partnership, Bajirao states, “Our trainers have 16 years’ of practical experience in various manufacturing processes. Integrating their practical experience, the trainers have crafted out the teaching methods perfectly. Their approach to theoretical training and every day question bank discussion, practical demonstration on defective samples and customary theory and practical exams, viva voce helps the learners grow holistically.”

By training fresh engineers in raw material to final product inspection, NIIT is making them proficient enough for various NDT and QC engineering works

NIIT conducts regular industrial visits after which the trainers revise and check the learners’ under standing of the on field NDT and manufacturing works. In addition to this, over the years, NIIT has created a niche of project based learning hub for itself. It emphasizes on hands-on projects vehemently and introduces a new project after completing a certain topic. This increases a student’s competency on the NDT topics and QC engineering techniques. So, by training the fresh engineers in raw material to final product inspection, NIIT is making them proficient enough for various NDT and QC engineering works that are usually done by highly experienced engineers.

NIIT has an impressive team comprising of qualified engineers who are widely experienced in implementing government projects like VSSC and DRDL. Depending on the unique requirements, the trainers offer customized courses. At NIIT, the team of engineers always stays updated with the latest NDT and QC trends and practices and never let their quality of services to plunge. Due to its remarkable performance and reputation, NIIT has been able to serve some of the renowned names like Bharat Forge, Walchandnagar Industries, ISMT and Maharashtra Seamless (Jindal Group).

Being the first institute in India which is approved by ISRO and DRDO (ANSP), NIIT holds a strong command over tailor-made NDT training and services, industrial inspections verification services like third party inspection, welding inspection, plate inspection, forging inspection, casting inspection, pressure vessel inspection, storage tank inspection, in-service inspection. In this amalgamating list of training and services, NIIT is at the threshold of introducing furnace calibration training module as well. Moreover, in the coming days, NIIT also has plans to add more subject matter in its third party inspection.
