Located in one of the fastest growing areas of Thane city in Mira Road, Mumbai is Metal Safety Engineering (MSE) – an ISO 9001:2008 firm incorporated in 2016 with a vision to provide premium NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) training and certification courses to engineering personnel of our customers from aerospace, petroleum, petrochemical, railways, shipping, heavy engineering sectors. With its most popular courses like Radiography Testing (RT), Ultra Sonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), today, MSE is recognized for its flexible learning option for students from India and countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, and Oman to acquire skills on NDT.

Describing the teaching methodology, Sanjeev states, “We create a holistic learning environment for the students, where we bring over 44 years of enriched experience in NDT from aerospace industries in India and abroad. All the trainers on board have more than ten years’ of industry experience. They cater to the learning needs of the students through hardcopy notes, classroom lecture, soft materials, audio-visual system, and PPT slides. We closely follow the training procedures and monitor their teaching methods to ensure that the needs of the learners are met.”

MSE is training the students who have completed diploma or degree in mechanical or automobile engineering, but do not have training or certification on NDT. “These students get benefitted from our certifications and after completing
the course, they can join NDT department of a company,” asserts Sanjeev. To make sure students are industry ready, MSE conducts general examination, specific examinations, where students need to secure 70 percent marks in each category and 80 percent marks in aggregate. “For practical examinations, we follow ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) guideline,” speaks Sanjeev.

Beside its main branch in Mira Road, MSE has branches in Sanpanda, Kalyan, Thane and Daman, where the same set of courses are delivered at the same fee structure. MSE conducts usual weekday classes and holds special batches on Friday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm for the working professionals. They also grant the students with flexible learning packages and don’t charge extra amount from the students, who want to repeat the courses.

Committed to Ensuring Customer Satisfaction
Adhering to the rules and regulations set by ASNT, MSE revises the curriculum from time to time to fulfill all the requirement set by ASNT in SNT TC 1A. “We comply with the stipulations by ASNT. Furthermore, we recommend every student to gain hands-on experience from our former students who have founded testing companies,” elucidates Sanjeev. They are continuously increasing the courses and have introduced ISO courses 9,001, 14,001, 18,001, and 45,001, and are planning to offer CAD courses, FreeSwitch courses, AWS courses and QC management courses. “So, all these courses are in pipeline and gradually we are achieving our targets as planned,” adds Sanjeev.

Under Sanjeev’s guidance, MSE is contacting industry heads, engineering colleges and placement agencies to educate them about the NDT courses, requirements, and what type of qualification students need to get work in international arena. “We started MSE in 2009 as a proprietorship company and in 2015 we became private limited. In the years to come, we want to the most prestigious NDT training, consultancy and service organization in the world. We want to become a limited company and incorporate more courses into our curriculum. We want to add fire safety courses, and try to upgrade the students with skills and knowledge throughout. We aspire to build reputation in metal safety engineering education, so that students do not think of any alternative while selecting a learning center in this branch of study,” concludes Sanjeev.
