Late N. J. Yasaswy Conferred with the 'Visionary eduPRENEUR of India' Award Posthumously

Yasaswy (1950-2011), the Founder of the ICFAI Group of educational institutions and a pioneer in promoting higher education in the private sector in India, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Visionary eduPRENEUR of India’ (posthumously). Sobha Rani Yasaswy, Chairperson, ICFAI Society, received the award from former President of India - Pranab Mukherjee at a colorful ceremony held at Civil Services Officer’s Institute (CSOI), New Delhi on December 11th 2017.


Expressing her happiness on the occasion, Sobha says, “We want the children to grow with values, learn with commitment and lead a healthy and happy life. It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction to provide value based education. This is ICFAI’s humble attempt towards nation building”.

Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, and Ambassador Phillipe Le Gall, High Commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles, along with several other educationists were also present on the occasion. Also, as part of the event, former President Pranab Mukherjee was also awarded the ‘Education President’ of India commemorating his 83rd birthday on the occasion. In his keynote speech delivered at the event, he exhorted the educationists in India to focus on four core areas - Technology, Inclusivity, Cultural Relevance, and Value based & Result Oriented Initiatives.
