  • IIT Delhi and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) sign MoU to strengthen STEM education.
  • Initiative to offer students hands-on exposure to science and technology.
  • Programme to enhance teacher training and encourage innovation in classrooms.

In a move to make science learning more engaging and practical, IIT Delhi has partnered with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education for school students. The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is the first-of-its-kind agreement between an IIT and KVS.

Under this initiative, students from Classes IX to XII will gain hands-on exposure to the latest developments in science and technology. Through interactive sessions, experiments, and expert lectures, students will get to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications and explore future careers in STEM.

The partnership builds on IIT Delhi’s popular SciTech Spins Lecture Series, a flagship outreach programme that has already reached thousands of students. In 2025 alone, nearly 3,000 Kendriya Vidyalaya students participated in lectures and activities designed to simplify complex concepts and make learning science more enjoyable.

The collaboration also includes a system to review and refine the programme based on feedback from students and teachers, ensuring continuous improvement.
