IILM University joins with UN Global Compact to Launch Social Innovation Competition for School Students

SI TeamIILM University and UN global Compact organized a meet to discuss approaches of school governance and changing roles of schools in India. Several senior industry personalities, principals, senior educators representing various schools attended the event. Dr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director, United Nations Global Compact announced IILM Award for Innovation and Social Impact, which is intended to create a pool of socially impactful innovative ideas that can be further
developed to solve socio-economic problems by motivating young children to engage in ideas of citizenship & commitment to civic values.

Event was started with a keynote speech from Mr. Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor, Haryana Vishwakarma Skills University. He set the tone of the meet by discussing key points related to the changing the role of schools and their approaches to governance. Followed by the second keynote address from Dr. Maina Singh, Scholar-in-Residence, American University, Washington DC & Director teaching and Learning at IILM shared her thoughts on the on-going trends in liberal education and how schools must level up their students to be ready for the future.
