Hospitality and tourism sector is one of the most dynamic and growing sectors today, generating great demand for skilled, educated and trained human resource capital at all levels.The biggest concern of this fastest growing industry is to pick the right work force, as people nowadays are aware of the global standards in hospitality and are exacting in their demands.Equipped with the experience of two decades, AISSMS College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, ensures that the academics is at par with the dynamic nature of the industry.

Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, AISSMS is the only college in Maharashtra (and perhaps in India) with NAAC (A grade with a CGPA score of 3.15) and NBA (for BHMCT program for five years) accreditation. Two of its faculty members, including the Principal, is on the Board of Studies of Savitribai Phule Pune University. In 2018 alone, the college has also been ranked 28th in ‘Best Hotel Management
Colleges’ by India Today Survey, and ranked2nd in ‘Top Private Hotel Management College – West Zone’ by The Week. Offering BHMCT(four years) and BSc. Hospitality Studies (three years), AISSMS focuses on bridging the gap between the curriculum and industry by providing the best industry exposure to students.

Hands-on Training
To keep up with the ever-changing technology, the college ensures the availability of educational versions of the software used by the hotels in the college lab and also collaborates with the hotels and startups. AISSMS has a state-of-the-art infrastructure including food production department, basic & quantity training kitchen, bakery & more. The mock bar, theme guest rooms and housekeeping labs provides the students an opportunity for hands-on training on the basics of hospitality management. Furthermore, a simulation exercise where the students have to operate a restaurant for two days on a budget and make a fixed percentage of profit is also conducted.

Yet another signature event of AISSMS is Atithya – a reflection of hospitality a three day international hospitality competition,where more than thirty teams from various
hospitality schools from overseas as well participate. It also encourages its students to participate in various competitions organized by other hospitality schools and take up social issues via its National Social Service wing, besides organizing guest lecture series & field visits to build a platform for co-curricular activities too.

Assured Placement
Thanks to AISSMS’ strong training & placement cell with dedicated staff networking vehemently, its students intern overseas(U.S.,France, Maldives, Seychelles, and Singapore) more than in India, develop their personality & soft skills and receive career counselling. The institute will introduce B.VOC degree program in the next academic year, and has even signed a MOU with Athlone Institute of Technology Ireland for faculty exchange and credit transfers for its students to enroll in the final year of their honor degree in Hotel Management.
