Today, India is one of the youngest countries globally with over 50-65 percent of its population below the ages of 25 and 35, with a majority residing in rural areas. As India paves path to become a global economic-powerhouse, it is imperative to equip its working population with employability skills. Unfortunately, there is a dearth of opportunities for the country’s rural youth who don’t get a chance to discover their capabilities, due to lack of proper formal-education, appropriate training and encouraging environment for employability. On the contrary, most private institutions /universities impart education only to urban youth leaving behind its rural parallels, thereby slowing down the nation’s growth.
Contrasting this scenario is Motihari-based AIHM Institute of Hotel Management, the first-of-its-kind institute providing Hospitality Educational to Rural youth with giving 50 percent discount on one course – Advance Diploma in Hotel Management along with additional benefits of free food & free accommodation. The institute also provides free uniform and books to all rural youth. AIHM Institute is first in India to give written guarantee of jobs in Hotel to every student whilst providing
opportunities to earn while learning /pursuing course. “At present, we are spreading our network/distributing franchises to rural India while focusing on rural unemployed youth. Established in 2007, ISO 9001:2015 certified AIHM offers three years degree in Hotel Management under Systematic Training & Employment Programme (STEP) and one year Diploma in Hotel Management in association with UGC recognized university. It also runs 18 months Advance Diploma in Hotel Management programme with an all-year admission provision. As a center ofexcellence providing qualitative, practical education, the institute enables online-classes from reputed hotel experts, executive chefs, front-line managers and others, additionally inviting visiting faculties to coach and share experiences on weekly/monthly basis, there by transforming students into industry-ready professionals.

Combining a management theory with practical experience, AIHM gives its students direct/live exposure to kitchens, front office and other hotel departments of star hotels/restaurants, empowering them to learn everything in detail. The college further imparts six-month industrial training in renowned 5-star hotels in India/abroad instigating international exposures while encountering diverse methodologies, hotel environment and work-cultures. Additionally, its international exchange programmes entitle learners to pursue internships in star-hotels/restaurants in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Dubai and others. Further AIHM maintains ties with 200+ training & placement partners including star hotels & restaurants, the placement & training activities of which are solely taken care of by the college directors themselves.
Registered under the Government of Delhi & Ministry of SME Government Of India, the college that currently has 12 branches countrywide, aims to engage more rural youths in the hotel industry and is looking forward to expand its franchises /centres (free of cost) across India.
