The University of Hyderabad (UoH) is one of the major institutions of higher education in India that is largely devoted to postgraduate studies. With 46 different Departments and Centres organized in 12 Schools of study, the University has over 5000
students and 400 faculties from affiliated institutes like Indian National Science Academy(INSA), the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), and the National Academy of Sciences of India (NASI)among several others. UoH offers around 150 different programs such as post doctoral degree, masters degree, post graduate diploma and many more. A NAAC ‘A’ credited university, UoH plays to host a large global student population and is counted among the top 100 universities in Asia in various academic areas. Treading off the conventional path, its contemporary courses of Folklore Studies, Health Psychology, Dalit Studies, Women’s Studies, and Neural & Cognitive Sciences are highly sought after by interested students all over the world.


Established in 1974, University of Hyderabad is a proud recipient of numerous awards like the Ramon Magasaysay Award, the J C Bose Fellowship of the DST, the Humboldt Prize, the TWAS Awards, the British Council and many more. It’s Wi-Fi enabled and highly proactive campus houses the Indira Gandhi Memorial Library that has a collection of more than 3.56-lakh books, 600 foreign journals and 18,000 online journals. A highly expansive university, UoH has collaborated with several institutes akin to C R Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science (AIMSCS) and plans to expand its academic curriculum with the introduction of new disciplines and initiatives.
