The Learning Tree: Offering a Happy and Calm Environment for the Children to Grow and Learn

With growing urbanization and increase in women’s participation in the work force across the country among all socio-economic groups, there has been a change in social structures and practices over the last few decades. A significant indicator of this change has been the emergence of nuclear families, a change which has converted child rearing from what was traditionally been a shared responsibility into the sole responsibility of the young parents. It was this changing social context, over the years, which laid the seeds to the introduction of the concept of Early Childhood Care and Education in the country. A passionate woman with immense love towards the growth and development of small children, Jyothi Manjunath, established ‘The Learning Tree’ – a Pre-School and Daycare along with her Co-Partner Anita Kumari to develop every child’s unique nature sequentially to explore and learn step by step to explore.

Incepted in the year 2012, The Learning Tree offers children a happy, calm, loving environment in which they grow and learn. The approach is based on the kindergarten and Montessori Method, recognizing that each child is unique and individual. This is reflected in the way the children are taught each at their own pace, progressing from one activity to another only when they are ready. The organization invokes a creative environment, which is both stimulating and challenging for children to learn as well as to have fun which positively influences a child's learning and development.
“The Learning Tree offers pre-school along with a daycare and afterschool programme. Our institute holds professional teachers who are trained for each activity including martial arts, taekwondo, Bharathanatyam, freestyle dance, handwriting improvement, memory booster, art and craft. At The Learning Tree, we aim to offer a broad, balanced range of activities that are carefully planned to meet the need of all children.

Working towards the overall development of each child, The Learning Tree also proposes a number of health programmes which are organized throughout the year.

Working towards the overall development of each child we also propose a number of health programmes which are organized throughout the year. We believe that children learn best when they are motivated and having fun and the certified teaching staff at The Learning Tree are specialized in bringing out the best in each child. Working on the individual interest and recognizing the strength and weakness of young ones is the main motto of our organization,” says Jyothi Manjunath, founder, The Learning Tree.
Situated near Baiyappanahalli metro station, Sadananda Nagar, NGES Layout, Bengaluru, The Learning Tree is at walkable distance from the station where more than thirty thousand people travel per day. The factor that adds the cherry on top is the lush parks adjacent to the school. Built in 2900 sq ft, The Learning Tree is a vertical building, which easily helps the parents to locate the place as well as pick and drop as it is situated right near the main road. Concluding by delineating on the future roadmap of the firm Jyothi Manjunath founder The Learning Tree utters, “During the initial year, though we had 100 students the number is multiplying year on year. Over the past year, we have successfully carried out the operation; the Pre-School from the past two to three years is growing and will be doing excellent in the years as empowered by Next.education as academic partner. With our primary focus being the day care services, we are also looking forward to extend our franchisee to spread our wings across the city.”
