Dr. A. Magimai Pragasam,DirectorA poorly delivered message can lead to erroneous interpretation by the recipient; while a faulty maneuver is sure to implant false thoughts in an interpreter. As effective commutation has become a key morale in all walks of life, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a known practice today which can ease such need-gap. Espousing the stark ideology of NLP, Centre for Communication and Mind Management (CCMM) is conceptualizing adaptive commandments to enable and empower people in achieving success in life. Dr. A. Magimai Pragasam, Director, CCMM, avers, “‘We have one life on earth – let’s make it meaningful’ is the basic philosophy of CCMM”.

The organization is facilitating training programs on NLP for communication, life skills, soft skills, media and management skills, helping people make meaningful contributions at workplace, for family and to the society at large. Aligning the courses with time convenience, CCMM offers one day introductory course (You and NLP), two days basic courses or three days programme with more practical exercises. Alongside, it offers certification programmes, Basic Practitioner and Master Practitioner Courses where the certificates are issued by NFNLP (National Federating of NLP) Florida, US.

“The continuous feedbacks we receive from the participants prove the fact time and again that NLP can heal, transform and empower people to achieve success in their life,” states Dr. Magimai. CCMM’s effective tooling is powered to expound the existing limitations
in one-self and thereby assisting participants to achieve success in all endeavors of life. Through its courses, one will learn to manage memories by a modifying sub-modalities, perceptual positioning, meta-model, empowering beliefs, removing blocks using metaphors and more.

Till date, CCMM has conducted numerous programmes on NLP for government, non-government and educational institutions across India and in Asian countries. With its growing fame, participants are anxious to receive the courses in local languages. Being an associate of Balavikasa (an International Development Training Centre), Dr. Magimai has regularly been offering NLP as a core academic course under Community Driven Development for International students as well.

Actively Empowering Communities
Dr. Magimai was inherently wired to promote NLP for community building. Under the primary mentorship of Dr. Andre Gingras (Canadian diplomat & Co-Founder of Balavikasa) and later under Aravamootham, Dr. Richard McHugh and Vikram Dhar, he pursued NLP Practitioner Courses over years. With regular updates from Dr. William Horton (Head of NFNLP), he further sharpened his knowledge and started delivering NLP sessions for development professionals, corporate companies, school teachers, social workers and more. Recurrent shout-outs feasted his faith over NLP and since then he had been a participating attendee and presenter at multiple workshops on communication across 33 countries. Now, with a team of six and his NLP students, CCMM is moving forward to spread NLP across India and the world.

Exploring the applications of NLP at various social domains, Dr. Magimai is in a pursuit to enable the poor to achieve a meaningful life in the society through self-confidence. Dr. Magimai recalls, “We once worked with a group of widows & women in poor community of Warangal who were living under the shade of false-beliefs and social taboos. By applying a simple ‘Swish technique’, we had transformed their quality of lives forever”. Today, CCMM is on a mission to devise better programs and exploring various possibilities which will be more impactful for the younger generation.
