As company, today, recruit scholars with specialized skill-sets, Tezpur University pivots on research-based education to inculcate special and direct relevance skills. It has four schools in-campus imparting education on different verticals such as Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Science & Technology. Each department strives to immaculate conceptual learning through practical applications. Besides, the suite of courses include civil, mechanical, electrical engineering (engineering),
business administration, commerce and disaster management (management sciences), cultural studies,law, journalism (humanities), molecular biology, chemical sciences, biotechnology (sciences), to name a few.

Ideally located in Assam surrounded by lush greenery, the university is aced with central library, computer centre, health centre, hostel and many more. Topping that is its Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Centre(SAIC)and NABL accredited Food Quality Control Laboratory (FQCL). While the former provides R&D program aided with best analytical instruments for internal and external users, the later caters to testing nutritional parameter requirements of various food items. These in-campus labs not only offers hands-on learning experience but also helps students acquire industry know-hoes in a real-time environment.
