With no financial backing or property, they took a leap of faith in 2002, leaving their secure jobs to begin this journey. With nothing but courage in their hearts and hope in their eyes, they turned to Vinay’s parents Priscilla and Simeon, veteran educators who had spent their lives teaching in the hills of Nainital.

“Our story began with no capital, no land, and no institutional support, only faith, a second-hand van, and a dream. We painted the beds ourselves, taught small classes in tin sheds, and took on every role, from teachers to caretakers. Our two-year-old son, Ashwin, grew up in the middle of it all, learning the meaning of community and humility from the very start. There were days of uncertainty, but never a day without purpose. We listened to our children, comforted anxious parents, and built a school where every child felt seen. That emotional foundation, not buildings, is what truly brought us here”, share Anita and Vinay.

Over the years, the school grew steadily, founded on values of kindness, humility, and integrity. Students began excelling not just in academics but also in empathy and leadership, earning admission to top institutions such as IITs, IIMs, NIFT, Leading Medical colleges, Law colleges and pursuing global careers. Today, with their son Ashwin also joining hands to carry forward the legacy, Woodbridge has evolved into a full-fledged CBSE institution up to Class XII, still guided by the same faith and love that built
