Owing to the need of the industry, the modern day approach to education is much focused on STEM education. The present evolving market demands individuals who are smart with technology and multifunctional at the same time. The popularity of STEM education is increasing, eventually, the job opportunities for STEM are rapidly growing. Set up with a vision to be a world leader in the educational technology domain, Elan Learning Labs aspires to inspire and motivate children through technologically innovative educational solutions designed to engage them in natural learning by questioning, investigation, and research.

An Entrepreneurial Leader, pioneer in STEM education, Project Management Expert, and Service Industry Specialist, Harif PK, Founder and Chairman, Elan Learning Labs wanted to develop an integrated STEM curriculum, not just focusing on robotics. Hence, they created a Science Activity Programme for the students from class 1-10 complementing current school syllabus. Along with it, Elan Learning Labs has also developed Tech and Math syllabus which helps students learn hands-on.

Established in 2018, Elan Learning Labs is aiming to be creative by using the existing tools in the market that can assist in creating a new system of education. “When we looked around the market, there were many STEM

activities/DIY kits, Tools available. However, we lack an integrated system consisting and linking all together. For example, we used Edison bots, along with block level coding language like scratch to teach logic/programming to children at lower primary classes. The science activities were mapped to syllabus so that it assists learning in classrooms and become helpful for teachers and students”, says Harif PK, Founder and Chairman, Elan Learning Labs.

The flagship offerings of Elan Learning Labs are namely, STEM GENIUS, an exclusive foundation program for classes 10, 9, 8 students, targeting exams like KVPY, JEE, NEET, Olympiads STEM@School where Elan collaborates with schools on facilitating STEM learning from class 1 to 10 complementing school syllabus; STEM Circuit, a weekly classroom program that includes numerous hands-on activities, students are introduced to different concepts in STEM; and STEMcademy, a unique platform to inspire and motivate young children of the current generation from preschool to college, in order to develop a curiosity and academic skills through a rigorous personalized state of the art and learning programs with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Elucidating the latest technologies that are used by Elan Learning Labs, Harif shares, “We use the method of hands-on learning in our classrooms which will benefit the students most. Also, we have introduced AI and Robotics courses using Edison robots and uses MIT developed scratch for improving logical and algorithmic skills in children. We conduct workshops on aerodynamics and rocketry, where students build launchable rockets and airplanes by themselves. Elan Learning Labs uses different modules to teach science theories and technologies which are otherwise difficult to comprehend.”

According to Elan, in the future, the world will be dominated by Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Big Data and many other factors that will be completely reliant on technology. To bridge the gap between developing technology and the schools, Elan has created various modules on Science Activities, Future Technologies, Robotics, Computational and Logical thinking to develop the future generation along with current school education. Also, Elan has prepared a comprehensive plan to introduce effective STEM education in academics. The objective was to give students the aptitude to be self-directed in learning by dispensing them with a challenging atmosphere. “Elan has mapped, State and National curriculum with hands-on STEM activities which equip students with self directed learning, effective inquiry skills, and peer collaboration. Adding to this, we have a syllabus, that can be adopted and followed in primary and secondary schools”, concludes Harif PK.
