Comprehensive Development of Students
From a small, nondescript campus to a colossal sublime masterpiece of architectural marvel, Pinegrove’s journey is a tale often told with zealous passion and untiringly heard with enthusiasm and excitement. This profound success can be traced back to the school’s philosophy of providing maximum exposure and opportunity through co-curricular activities, camps, excursions, games and sports, healthy peer-group interaction, and learning.
Pinegrove enables the total development of students by combining comprehensive academic monitoring with psychological handling, constant counseling, personal care, attention, and affection that inspire the children to perform to the zenith of their potential. Delving deeper, Pinegrove School has devised an effective way to enhance student engagement by weaving the nine Cs into the curriculum: Content, Confidence, Communication, Care, Compassion, Creativity, Courage, Character, and Common-sense.
On the other hand, keeping in tandem with the National Education Policy 2020, Pinegrove has redesigned the curriculum and introduced a five-day week teaching model with an activity-based curriculum for
Saturdays and Sundays for children up to Class 10. “These activities concern the prime objectives of conceptual learning through the latest pedagogy and building one’s personality”, Capt. A. J. Singh asserts.
In the Pristine Lap of Nature
Pinegrove complements this unique academic approach with its carefully built campus architecture and ecosystem. The school is an architectural marvel nestled amidst the forest and woodlands; the birds present their great dawn chorus notes as a jugal bandi for their revered audience the sheer joie–de vivre leaves you asking for more. This serenity perfectly aligns with world-class infrastructure, including wi-fi enabled campuses, smart-classrooms with hybrid capability, well-equipped Science Laboratories, tastefully designed dormitories, multiple floodlit playfields, The Arena - oval shaped Cricket Stadium, and Indoor Multi-Sports Complex. The school also has a state-of-the-art auditorium, Music & Dance Departments, and Art & Sculpture Studios to name a few.
“We have also championed multiple sustainable initiatives to become a Zero Waste School for the last five years by teaching children to coexist with nature via experiential based learning activities, which include segregation of waste at the source, organically composting kitchen waste, dairy farming, agriculture, and treating sewage water among others”, adjoins Capt. A. J. Singh. Furthermore, the school has installed solar panels (100 KW) and Rain-water harvesting tanks (16 lakh liters capability).
Pinegrove’s unique academic prowess imbued in a world-class school infrastructure has yielded excellent results. In the CBSE Boards Examinations in both 10th and 12th classes over the last ten years, 100 percent of students have passed out with First Division. The school has recorded astounding class averages of 81.16 percent and 86.90 percent for 10th and 12th CBSE Board Exams 2022-23 respectively. Pinegrovians Irtiqa Pervez and Vidushi became HP State Toppers in the Humanities stream with 98.20 percent and 97.80 percent marks.
Giving the Success Back to Society
It’s a great sign that Pinegrove democratizes the quality of education among underprivileged sections of society. The government of Himachal Pradesh assigning Pinegrove School the responsibility of caring for four orphan children in the state with 100 percent scholarship through ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna’ is a case in point. The school has also taken the initiative of enrolling two bright girls from the government schools in the Solan District with 100 percent scholarships every year since 2016. It's noteworthy that since 2010 the Sikkim Govt. in liaison with the Govt. of Himachal has regularly sponsored bright and capable children of their State for education in the School under 'The Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Scholarship Programme'.
