Open University Malaysia

Open University Malaysia is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, which is the seventh Malaysian private university. The university is owned by the Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations (METEOR) Sd.Bhd, which is a consortium of 11 Malaysian public universities.

The curriculum of the university is developed for business management, applied sciences, and educational and social sciences. It is famous for leveraging quality, prestige and capabilities of its consortium. Open University Malaysia's main campus is located atJalanTun Ismail, Kuala Lampur, and has 37 learning centres in Malaysia, from which 10 are regional learning centres.

Open University Malaysia's logo, which is `OUM', is derived from a combination of letters `O' and `U', representing the concept of globalization of knowledge through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode. The logo also represents the University's continuous
strides towards progression of being one of the premier ODL universities in the world.

Open University Malaysia was established in 2000, for delivering education for all, with the motto "University for All". The students at the university are driven towards acquiring ­ Integrity, Professionalism, Caring, Teamwork and Innovativeness.YBhg Prof Dato' DrMansorFadzil, President/Vice-Chancellor, Open University Malaysia, concluded, "This year we celebrate 20 years in operation. Since 2000, we have strived for becoming the University of Choice for part-time studies and provide quality and recognized programmes that emphasise accessibility, affordability and flexibility."
