India has been recognized for leading G20 countries in performance growth in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject. Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of QS University Rankings, praised India's progress in higher education, noting a significant 14% year-on-year improvement in average rankings. This marks the highest performance improvement among all G20 nations.

In a LinkedIn post, Quacquarelli attributed India's success to the visionary policies like the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized the impact of NEP 2020 on India's higher education system and mentioned that he had a productive discussion with PM Modi about global higher education trends.

Quacquarelli highlighted PM Modi's passionate commitment to revolutionizing Indian education and his ambitious targets within the NEP. The latest QS subject rankings show Indian higher education institutions have made significant progress in STEM subjects, Biological Sciences, and Business Studies.

The NEP 2020 has played a crucial role in driving positive changes in higher education across the country, as noted in the report. Under PM Modi's leadership, the Union Government approved the NEP 2020, establishing a vision for India's new education system.

India now holds the second-highest number of featured universities in the QS subject rankings across Asia. This achievement underscores India's commitment to improving its higher education system and its growing influence in the global academic landscape.
