O.P. Jindal Global University Achieves Historic Milestone in QS Subject Rankings 2025

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the QS Subject Rankings 2025, solidifying its position as a global leader in higher education. While maintaining its dominance in Law, JGU has also earned top rankings in five new disciplines, showcasing its growing academic excellence and international impact.

For the sixth consecutive year, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has been ranked as India’s No. 1 law school and secured the 78th position globally, reinforcing its leadership in legal education and its status as a global hub for jurisprudence and legal studies.

For the first time, JGU has been ranked the #3 private university in India and #274 globally in Social Sciences & Management. In Arts & Humanities, JGU secured the #1 private university spot in India and 360th worldwide. Under Social Sciences & Management, QS ranks 16 Narrow Subjects, with JGU eligible in four based on its programmes and research.

Additionally, JGU debuted as India’s #1 private university for Politics & International Studies, ranking in the 201-250 global category. JGU's Economics & Econometrics ranks #2 among private universities in India and 551-700 globally, while Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) secures #6 among private business schools in India and 451-500 worldwide.

Law & Legal Studies: Ranked #1 in India for the sixth consecutive year and among the top 100 globally.
Politics & International Studies: Ranked #1 private university in India and featured in the top 201-250 worldwide for the first time.
Social Sciences & Management: Ranked #3 private university in India and secured the #274 position globally in its debut ranking.
Arts & Humanities: Ranked #1 private university in India and placed #360 worldwide for the first time.
Economics & Econometrics: Ranked #2 private university in India and listed among the top 551-700 globally in its first-ever ranking.
Business & Management Studies: Ranked #6 private university in India and recognized among the top 451-500 globally.
