NTA Opens NTET 2025 Registration for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy Educators

National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched the registration process for National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) 2025, specially designed for postgraduate professionals of traditional Indian medical systems like Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani and allied sciences. Candidates having postgraduate qualifications like MD or MS in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, MSc in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, or MPH, can apply online from June 4 to June 23.

The NTET for the Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and homoeopathy system of India is a milestone event, as the exam this year is being held for the first time in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of AYUSH, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Education. Also guided by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) as per the NCISM Act of 2020, the test shall help in raising the standards of quality teaching in AYUSH institutions. Candidates have to fill and submit their forms and fees online; the registration deadline is on June 23, but fee payment can be done through June 24, followed by a correction period from June 25 to June 27.

To be held on July 17, 2025, the NTET will be 120 minutes long with 100 multiple‑choice questions of one mark each in both English and Hindi. Application charges are different in different categories: ₹4,000 for General, NRI, OCI, and foreign nationals; ₹3,500 for General‑EWS and OBC‑NCL, and ₹3,000 for SC, ST, PwD, and third gender candidates.

This entrance exam serves a critical purpose in certifying postgraduate experts as teachers in their own fields, strengthening standards of education at the higher level in Indian systems of medicine and homoeopathy. Aspiring applicants are requested to refer to the official NTET portal and information bulletin for detailed instructions on eligibility criteria, document requirement, examination pattern, and the fee submission process. 

With less than two weeks to go for registration, deserving applicants must move fast to get into this inaugural edition of the NTET for AYUSH disciplines and lay the foundation for a new era in educator accreditation and excellence.
