NSE and Odisha Government Entered into MoU for Financial Literacy

This multi-dimensional MoU is one step towards greater financial literacy, investor awareness and empowerment of the current and potential investors.
India's premier stock exchange, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Odisha Government entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further Financial Literacy through Investor Awareness Programs and the Student Skilling Programs for youth of Odisha.

This MOU was signed between Shri Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE and Shri Prashant Kishore Mohapatra, Special Secretary, Govt. of Odisha in the gracious presence of Suryabanshi Suraj, Hon'ble Minister of State, Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, Odia language, Literature & Culture, Govt. of Odisha, today at Bhubaneshwar.

As a part of the understanding, NSE in association with the Government of Odisha shall carry out awareness drive through seminars, camps, knowledge sessions, road shows, workshops to diffuse financial literacy and investor awareness. This MoU also seeks to equip the youth with industry-specific skills and improve their employability in the BFSI industry.

Odisha has a growing financial ecosystem and it is the need of the hour to empower the students, investors and corporates. This comprehension covers diverse fabrics of the financial web aimed at multiple stakeholders. This multi-faceted MoU is a step towards improving financial literacy, encouraging investor awareness and empowerment of the current and new investors. Moreover, the MoU also aims at skill-preparing youth with necessary skills through NSE's Student Skilling Program an endeavor in sync with the vision of the central government to release human capital and facilitate both self-employment and employability in the BFSI industry.

Shri Suryabanshi Suraj, Hon'ble Minister of State, Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, Odia language, literature & Culture, Govt. of Odisha stated, "The Government of Odisha is delighted to collaborate with NSE to promote financial literacy, investor education and student skilling in our state.
