Muslim Students Top in RSS-Run Schools in Rajasthan

A growing number of Muslim students are performing well in RSS controlled schools in Rajasthan.
Out of 4,513 Muslim students studying in the RSS-managed schools in the state, many are topping the charts and coming out with flying colours scoring over 90 per cent marks in their Xth and X11th Board examinations, confirmed one of the organisation's senior workers here.
Speaking to IANS, Suresh Wadhwa, Rajasthan zonal deputy secretary, Vidya Bharati said, "One Muslim girl Simran Banu scored 94.20 per cent in her XIIth Board examination in Biology stream and is now preparing for NEET exam from Sikar. She topped in the region. Her sister Seema Bano is another meritorious student who recently scored 88.30 per cent in her class Xth," he said.
Speaking to IANS, the mother of the two sisters, Raj Bano said,

Speaking to IANS, the mother of the two sisters, Raj Bano said,
"We are happy with the school, the teachers and the entire staff have helped our children. My daughters have been attending the school right from nursery." Seema, the younger sister said that they enjoyed participating in all activities in the school including the morning prayers called 'vandana' and the havan as well.
Another Muslim student from this school, Ruby Chauhan scored 91.67 per cent in her class Xth Board examination. Her elder sister, Shabnam Chauhan, is a pass-out from the same school. Ruby says, "This school has the best educational facilities for students, overall environment is good and students have been given a holistic approach for development."
The headmaster of the Shrimati Suraj Kumari Gadodiya Girls AVM Sr Secondary school, Bhagwanti Parwani where Seema and Ruby study said, "All our students study with a secular mindset. We have never tried to mix the traditions."
Sharing details with IANS, Suresh Wadhwa said, "The Vidya Bharti schools in Rajasthan have 4,513 Muslim students out of 2,84,306 students. 48 Christian students are also studying in our schools. Dausa has the highest strength of Muslim students which count to 581. Next is Churu with 540 students, Alwar has 269, Jaipur-291, Jhunjhunu-267, Sikar-154, Karauli-119, Sawai Madhopur-106 and Bharatpur has 185. In Jaipur, a total of 3,153 Muslim students including 1,218 girls are enrolled. Also there are two Christian students", he says.
Another RSS leader from Churu region, Om Prakash who is the district secretary in Vidya Bharati says, "We have students from all castes, creed and religions studying in our schools. We have Muslim teachers too," he said.
