Mahindra University & Apollo Launch New Health Science Courses

Mahindra University, Hyderabad, has teamed up with Apollo Healthcare Academy to launch new Bachelor’s degree programs in Allied Health Sciences. This new partnership aims to prepare students for high demand roles in the healthcare sector, both in India and abroad.

The courses offered include Anesthesia & Operating Theatre Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Cardiovascular Technology. These programs follow the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP) standards, ensuring that graduates are globally competent and industry ready.

Students will not only get classroom learning but also practical hospital experience. The final year includes internships at Apollo Hospitals and other healthcare centers, giving them direct exposure to real medical settings.

To boost global employability, the curriculum also includes bridge programs, language support, and licensing exam training, helping students prepare for international healthcare roles.

Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor of Mahindra University, said this initiative is aimed at creating skilled professionals who can contribute meaningfully to society. Dr. Rajinder Singh Chauhan, Dean of the Centre for Life Sciences, stressed the importance of hands-on training to complement classroom teaching.

Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, CEO of Apollo Knowledge, said this is part of Apollo’s larger plan to build a strong global healthcare workforce. Dr. Jagadeswaran, Dean at Apollo Institute, added that the program’s immersive model will help students become job ready from day one.

Students will benefit from expert faculty, world class labs, placement support via Apollo's network, and opportunities to work on research projects across both institutions.
