In a bid to address the mounting exam-related stress among students, the Kerala government has launched a toll-free helpline, providing crucial assistance to both students and their parents. With SSLC, Higher Secondary, and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations scheduled for March, the State Education Minister, V Sivankutty, unveiled the toll-free number 'We Help' – 1800 425 2844.

The service is available starting today from 7 AM to 7 PM on all working days, offering a supportive resource for those grappling with the challenges of exam preparation. Coordinators, specially trained by Nimhans in Bengaluru, will provide free counseling to students and parents seeking assistance. This move comes as a proactive measure to address the mental health and well-being of students during the crucial examination period.

The toll-free facility will remain operational until the conclusion of examinations in the state. Minister Sivankutty highlighted that the counseling sessions will be led by the skilled professionals of the Higher Secondary Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for students, recognizing the significance of mental health in the academic journey.

As of now, the state is in the midst of SSLC model exams, further emphasizing the government's dedication to ensuring the holistic well-being of students amidst the rigorous examination schedule. This timely intervention aims to provide a lifeline for students and parents grappling with the pressures of exam season in Kerala.
