The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is set to host the second edition of the Ministry of Education's premier event, IInvenTiv-2024, in January 2024. This event serves as a platform to showcase the research and innovation achievements of the leading Higher Education Institutes in India, emphasizing their significant impact.

As per a statement from IITH, the upcoming Research and Development (R&D) fair is expected to witness increased participation from a diverse range of institutes. In addition to the 23 IITs, prominent Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) like NITs, IISERs, IIITs, IISc Bangalore, and the top 50 engineering institutions ranked by NIRF in the country will showcase their outstanding contributions to both academic and industry stakeholders.

“The second edition of IInvenTiv, hosted by IIT Hyderabad, will once again showcase India’s spirit of innovation and enterprise and bring together industry and academia to build an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat", said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

As per the announcement, the collaboration among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will showcase the top 120 innovations spanning various domains from the 53 participating technical institutions across the country. These selected projects will be showcased in designated booths during the grand event. The inaugural event is anticipated to be attended by representatives from over 2000 industries, in addition to key government officials, as stated by IITH.
