The application window for the undergraduate summer research internship at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar is now open. Eligible applicants, including those pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees in India, can apply through the official website. The internship period spans eight weeks, aligning with IIT Gandhinagar's summer break, from May 5 to July 15.

Prospective interns will collaborate with IIT Gandhinagar faculty members. It is recommended that applicants review the list of participating faculty and project descriptions before applying. Candidates have the flexibility to apply for projects outside their declared degree or specializations, based on their interests and prior experiences.

Upon completion of the internship, applicants must deliver a presentation to the institute and submit a concluding report. Successful interns will receive a stipend and a certificate. A weekly stipend of Rs 2,000 will be disbursed post-internship, with potential variations for faculty-funded projects, according to an institute statement. Hostel accommodation is available for summer interns, and students are responsible for applicable hostel charges.
