Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has now begun its admissions for the academic year 2025-26, opening a critical window from May 28 to June 22, 2025. Coming into being as a public university with a focus on skills under the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Act of 2019 and beginning operations in 2020, DSEU has quickly become one of India's first skill-focussed public universities, having 21 constituent campuses across the national capital and more than 7,400 seats in a wide variety of programmes.
This year, the university has also increased its academic offerings with the launch of 40 new certificate programmes, catering to market needs in burgeoning areas such as artificial intelligence, digital marketing, software development, and entrepreneurship.
The application portal, which has been completely digitized for ease of use, welcomes applications for over 100 programmes at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. Diplomas feature courses that are industry-specific, including robotic automation and precision engineering, BTech streams encompass superior subjects like data science and network security, while humanities have programmes like BA (Hons) in Spanish and specialized degree like BDes in Gems and Jewellery Design. Certificate courses of short duration on welding and HVAC to digital marketing and textile conservation are also included in the enlarged curriculum.
In the same vein as the National Education Policy, the admission mechanism of DSEU allows horizontal entry, multiple entry exit points, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which facilitates lifelong learning as per one's dreams. Candidates who get qualified through JEE Main can get admitted to BTech, whereas entry to other programs happens on the basis of Class 10/12 degrees or NSQF-level credits. After the application period closes, the university will publish its first seat allotment list on June 23, with candidates having to confirm their seats and get verifications done by June 26.
DSEU's fee structure, ranging from around Rs 10,000 to Rs 87,000 per semester, offers significant concessions up to 60 percent for SC, ST, and PwD students. It also has 60 percent reservation of seats for students from Delhi, with additional quotas for women, economically weaker sections, and marginalized groups, indicating a significant focus on equitable access. With its emphasis on tying education to actual industry requirements and building entrepreneurial capability, Vice-Chancellor Professor Ashok Kumar Nagawat has inspired students to "build not just careers, but legacies", challenging them to keep an eye out for updates on admissions and related announcements
This admissions push highlights DSEU's key mission: to upskill, reskill, and empower India's next-gen workforce by leveraging an innovative, inclusive, and market-relevant education model.
