IIM Kozhikode Recognizes as the 'Most Competitive B-School 2019' at Dare2Compete Awards

Si TeamIndian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, one of India's institutions for management and business studies, wins the `Most Competitive B-School 2019' award under the Dare2Compete Awards, with XLRI and SIBM Pune in the second and third position respectively. The award ceremony was held at JW Marriott Sahar, Mumbai on 26th March, and also hosted panel discussions on diverse topics ranging from innovation to building brand equality to opportunities in big diversified groups.

Dare2Compete is a leading and fastest growing competitive ecosystem across B-Schools, Engineering Colleges and Graduate colleges. Having successfully conceptualized and executed campus engagement for premier companies including Reliance, Aditya Birla Group, HUL, Hero MotoCorp, Flipkart, Amazon and Vodafone, the competition aims to drive and recognize Students, B-Schools and Companies.

Priya Kumari from IIM, Ahmedabad bagged the Most Competitive Business Leader award by excelling in five competitions from Mahindra, EXL, RPG, Bajaj Finserv and Flipkart.
Priyadarshini from IMT Ghaziabad stood second followed by Shaffaf (IIFT) Akshay and Satakshi (IIM Lucknow) and Naveen (IIM Rohtak). The award was based on the medals and stars earned by students on securing meritorious positions in corporate organized competitions over the past academic year, while the Competitive B-School was ranked based on the medals earned by students.

Based on the votes from students across top B-Schools, HUL LIME Season 10 from Hindustan Unilever Limited won the `Most Prestigious B-School Competition' followed Amazon's ACE Challenge and Mahindra War Room respectively. The YES Bank Transformation Series and Reliance TUP4.0 bagged fourth and fifth position in the competition.

The opening panel discussion with Meghna Apparao, (Director, Amazon India); Emrana Sheikh (Enterprise HR Head-India & South Asia, Johnson & Johnson); Sunny Sharma, (Head HR- Sales, Marketing, e-Commerce & Talent Acquisition, RB India Health); and Krishnan Vaidyanathan (General Manager HR Asian Paints) discussed on "Creating the Culture of Innovation and Driving it'.

This was followed by an exciting discussion on `Necessity of Building Brand Equity in Campuses', which had Rohit T Koshy, (Director, Africa, India & Middle East, Advisory Services, EY, moderating), Warren Patrick (EVP & Head, Strategic HR Edelweiss); Sunil Singh (Director Talent Acquisition, Abbott); Nidhi Kajaria (Head HR - International, SME, Commercial Banking, ICICI Bank) and Sandeep Nainwal (Head of University Relations and Campus Hiring, Flipkart) in the panel.

The final panel had an interesting talk on `The Experiences and The Opportunities in Big Diversified Indian Business Groups' with Satyajit Iyer (Senior Vice President, Head Talent Acquisition, Group of Reliance Industries Ltd), Dr. Prince Augustin (Executive Vice President, Group Human Capital and Leadership Development, Mahindra and Mahindra); and Kaustuv Bhattacharya (Portfolio Head, Young Talent Management, Aditya Birla Group).
