Si TeamAutomobile industry stalwart Hyundai introduces Student Assurance program - an industry first incentive for customers with student loan debt. Student Assurance program will help eligible customers free their student loan debt by providing a contribution of upto $900 directly towards the loan with a purchase or lease of a new Hyundai vehicle. Initially avail-able only at Hyundai dealerships in California and the Phoenix, Arizona area (from April 1- September 30, 2019), the program will be expanded nationally based on the dealer and customer feedback.

"We recognize that student loan debt is one of the most significant financial stress points for people and we want to help address that issue, while allowing people to take
advantage of the many benefits of owning a new vehicle," said Michael DePaul, Director - Retail Operations, Hyundai Motor America.

Hyundai has partnered with Gradifi, a leading provider of student loan benefits to administer the contributions directly to the customer's student loan debts. The customers interested to participate in the program can visit Hyun-daiStudentAssurance.com to check their eligibility, post which they will be directed to the Hyundai Students Assurance Centre to receive a Reward code. On purchase or lease of an eligible Hyundai vehicle from the selected dealers, customers can verify their purchase at Hyundai Student Assurance Center using the reward code and VIN. The customers will then receive an email regarding creating and registering their loans, which will then be verified. Upon verification, the customer will receive up to a $900 contribution directly to their student loan debt.

The Student Assurance program is an outcome of Hyundai's internal innovation contest the Better Idea Generator (BIG) which enables Hyundai associates at all levels to develop and pitch new and innovative ideas. From 118 ideas submitted, an expert panel of senior leaders selected Student Assurance program, which was then developed into a business plan and presented to the executive team by Samantha Recchia (Associate - Public Relations) and Martha Mejia (Assistant Manager - Quality Data Analytics) - founders of the Student Assurance program, finally leading to the pilot program now available.
