KLS Gogte Institute of Technology was established in the year 1979 by the Late Shri Raosaheb B.M. Gogte, a noted industrialist and philanthropist. The institute is spread across 20 acres of sprawling meadows. GIT, houses 08 undergraduate and 09 postgraduate disciplines including MBA and MCA programs. An affiliate of Visvesvaraya Technological University, the institute carries the distinction of getting NBA Accreditation by AICTE for the second time in succession. Companies such as TCS, Global Edge, Persistent Systems, Alcatel Lucent, PEOL, Mercedes Benz, Honeywell, ABB, Kirloskar Group of Companies, Siemens, Amazon, Mphasis, Informatica and others consider the students of GIT to be of top quality and consistently visit the campus to recruit more and more students.

efforts, intelligent decisions and skillful execution. This reflects in the academic ambience and outcome of the system in terms of performance and achievements of the students and staff in teaching and learning, research and innovation, placements and results, and KLS GIT has proved on these counts time and again over the years since 1979.

KLS GIT is known for its academic

credentials coupled with holistic growth in all directions and spheres. The main focus of the institution is to empower students with sound knowledge, wisdom, experience and training both at the academic level of Engineering and in the highly competitive global industrial market. This has ensued in our institute achieving a series of milestones in the first decade of 21st century.

Our institution is currently ranked at No. 3 in Karnataka by Visvesvaraya Technological University with 18 ranks and 2 gold medals in 2014 and No.3 by the corporate world. We have been awarded the Excellent Technical Education Institution 2014 award by CMAI,the BERG Award for Education in Singapore.

Best Green Campus and Best Accredited Student Branch Award by CSI consecutively for the fifth time. Recently our institute was honored with "Campus Preparedness Award – 2015" for meeting out the goals at challenges of institutional advancement amidst encouraging global trends in higher

education at Higher Education Forum.

KLS GIT has been selected by The Department of IT, BT and ST of Government of Karnataka to establish ICT Incubation centre and was selected as the Best Performing College of 2012 for Outstanding Encouragement and value added contribution for LEAD activities. The New Age Incubation Center at KLS GIT for Entrepreneurship Development and Mentoring by Government of Karnataka has unfolded opportunities for the students, alumni and locals who wish to cater to the projects that solve local problems and find solutions to local needs.
