Recognizing this growing demand, the Dhanwantari Academy for Management Studies (DAMS) was established in 2020 under the visionary leadership of Dr Ganesh, the Academic Director of the Dhanwantari Group of Institutions (DGI). DGI began its journey in 2003 with a single nursing college and 100 students. Today, it has grown to include four nursing colleges, Allied Health Sciences, Paramedical courses, a B.Ed. college, and CBSE schools, catering to nearly 3,000 students.
DAMS was founded to bring quality management education to the region and has since become a hub for holistic student development. The academy goes beyond traditional curriculum by offering industry-relevant add-on courses in Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Payroll Management, Full Stack Development, DevOps, AI, Cloud Computing, and more.
Students engage in live case studies, organization visits, and continuous mentoring from dedicated faculty members. The institute also emphasizes global exposure through its Global Immersion Program, which allows students to receive certified training in country like Australia. Established in 2020 under the Dhanwantari Group of Institutions (DGI), DAMS offers a transformative MBA program designed to meet the evolving demands of the business world. With a legacy that began in 2003 through a nursing college, DGI has expanded significantly, and DAMS now stands as a beacon of quality management education in the region.
DAMS focuses on holistic development, especially catering to students from rural and semi-urban backgrounds. To help them adapt to the corporate world, the academy conducts bridge courses, communication training, and grooming sessions. These initiatives aim to enhance soft skills and instill professionalism, ensuring students are well prepared for placements and real-world challenges.
The MBA program at DAMS offers eight specializations, namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Hospital Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship & MSME Development, Business Analytics, and International Business. Students can opt for single or dual specializations, with each stream supported by industry-relevant add-on courses delivered through a partnered EdTech platform.
A key strength of DAMS lies in its experienced faculty of 12 members specializing across various management domains, each bringing a rich blend of academic knowledge and industry exposure. Faculty also serve as personal mentors, guiding students in career planning and skill enhancement.
Complementing classroom learning are live case studies, organization visits, and a Global Immersion Program, offering international exposure in country like Australia. The
institute is committed to shaping competent, confident, and industry ready professionals through an education model that blends academic rigor with practical insights.
Empowering Students with Infrastructure, Leadership, and Scholarships
Dhanwantari Academy offers a world-class learning environment designed to nurture academic excellence and personal growth. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards, and each day begins with mindfulness and meditation sessions to foster focus and well-being. The campus features modern facilities, including a well-stocked library with over 6,000 volumes, a gymnasium, spacious playgrounds, cafeterias, recreational areas, seminar rooms, and an auditorium.
DAMS promotes holistic development through active student participation in various clubs such as sports, cultural, HR, Marketing, Finance and entrepreneurship clubs. The Internal College Administrative Mechanism (ICAM) empowers students to engage in governance and develop leadership skills.
To ensure that financial barriers do not hinder education, it provides scholarships to about 95 percent of its students. These include the Chairman’s Scholarship, Single Girl Child Scholarship (named after the Chairman’s mother), Single Parent Scholarship and awards for achievements in sports and cultural activities.
DAMS also focuses on enhancing employability through mandatory value-added courses in Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Business Analytics, Finance Analytics, Payroll Management and Digital Marketing.

Industry Integration, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
The institute emphasizes real-world learning and industry alignment through strategic partnerships and modern curriculum integration. Located near the Peenya Industrial Hub, DAMS has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Peenya Industrial Association (PIA). This collaboration provides students with regular industrial visits, internships, hands-on training, and strong placement support through access to nearby companies.
“To keep pace with emerging industry trends, DAMS has embedded essential future-ready skills like Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Supply Chain Management into its academic structure.
All MBA and MCA students receive training in Generative AI, while Digital Marketing is a mandatory certification in the second semester. These areas are reinforced with case studies and real-world applications, ensuring students are both academically and professionally prepared”, shares Shruthy Harita A R, HoD, DAMS.
In addition to academic and industry-focused initiatives, DAMS fosters entrepreneurship through its active Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) and Incubation Centre. Supported by a panel of industrial advisors, the ED Cell provides mentorship, seed funding, and startup training.
Students also benefit from regular exposure to innovation ecosystems, including visits to the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC) and participation in entrepreneurial expos and competitions. Though Dhanwantari Academy for Management Studies is a relatively young institution, having launched its MBA program in 2020, it has made significant strides in establishing itself as a center of quality management education. While formal accreditations are currently in progress, the institution is actively working toward recognition from reputed platforms such as SiliconIndia and other academic bodies.
Looking ahead, DAMS has set ambitious plans for growth and development. One of its key initiatives includes establishing an MoU with an Australian university to offer global exposure and collaborative academic opportunities for its students. Another MoU with Symbiosis Skills & Professional University, Pune for Skill enhancement. Additionally, discussions are ongoing with premier Indian institutions such as IISc, IIMs, and the MSME Board to build strategic academic and industry partnerships. These collaborations aim to enhance curriculum quality, research, and innovation.
To support its vision for long-term expansion, DAMS is also developing a new campus with upgraded infrastructure. This new facility will be designed to provide an enriched learning environment, greater capacity, and improved student amenities.
