Separator
Italy hosts some of the oldest universities in the world and is a popular study abroad location for Indian students as it offers high-quality programs at a fairly reasonable cost. Indeed, not only do students benefit from relatively inexpensive tuition rates, but living expenses, generally speaking, are also reasonable compared to many other nations. Of the utmost importance, studying in Italy provides students from all over the world with the unparalleled opportunity of spending their time in the heart of some of history’s finest heritage destinations and immersingthemselves in a truly unique cultural experience.

Luiss University, known also as Luiss Guido Carli or Libera UniversitàInternazionaleDegli Studi Sociali Guido Carli University, was founded in Rome between 1974 and 1978. Guido Carli, then President of the Italian business group Confindustria, was appointed to Chair the university in 1982. The University’s main campuses are revered in Rome for its architecture, representing important movements in the city’s artistic history, as well as for its lush gardens, small oases in a busy city.

Luiss hosts four departments- Economics & Finance, Business & Management, Law, and Political Science. Drawing upon its privileged affiliation with Confindustria, the largest industry association in Italy, the University has created an environment which offers students extraordinary growth opportunities in their careers. With 60 double and triple degree programs and over 300 global connections, Luiss is also a prominent participant in prestigious academic networks such as QTEM and the European University (ENGAGE.EU).

About 94 percent of Luiss graduates are employed after one year, while the percentage increases respectively to 96 percent and 98 percent after three and five years. Before graduating in 2022, a job offer was already held by one third of graduates who are now employed. In essence, what makes Luiss a preferred institution at European level are the strong ties with the institutional and business worlds, the abovementioned international academic opportunities, extensive research opportunities and a global network of over 53,000 Luiss Alumni. Of seminal importance is the institution’savantgarde educational approach, built around the idea of making research an integral part of teaching and learning, which is reflected in the University’s vision to empower its students to become enquirers.

Vision of the Institute
The vision of Luiss is to shape ‘enquirers’, namely curious, tenacious, and open-minded students who should learn to become meticulous and trustworthy when defining, framing and solving problems. At Luiss, students are trained to think like scientists while operating as executives, managers, lawyers, policymakers or entrepreneurs. Luiss enquirers promise to be inclusive and thoughtful leaders who are capable of becoming points of reference for their community, not only in light of their ability to think critically about issues at hand but also given their ‘rounded’ attitude, which enables them to direct other people towards the pursuit and achievement of common organizational goals.

Courses & Other Offerings
In a multicultural and global educational environment, Luiss numbers nearly 10,000 students with a special focus on the social sciences. The University has embraced the enquirybased educational model and is working to strengthen its position in the social sciences while also broadening the scope of its research activities to encompass the humanities, artificial intelligence, and security. The above mentioned four departments of the University deliver professional and graduate courses in related fields. Proactive instructional pedagogies are used by Luiss within an environment that has been built to provide students with enormous prospects for career progression.

94 Percent Of Luiss Graduates Are Employed After One Year, While The Percentage Increases Respectively To 96 Percent And 98 Percent After Three And Five Years

The University aims to provide young people with a sense of flexibility and control over their future rather than merely ‘infusing’ knowledge. The enquiry-based model adopted by the University aims at fostering a habit of curiosity and an unwavering spirit to find answers to pressing issues faced by society. By proposing a new ‘Life Large Learning Approach’, Luiss is also seeking to provide students with the chance to access a new type of ‘enlarged’ education, with experience in the field and far beyond the conventional study of books, while training for diversity and inclusion. As a catalyst for innovative thinking, Luiss strives to meet fundamental societal demands and advance the development of a socially inclusive research model.

The development and enhancement of high-quality, foundational and applied research with a particular emphasis on multidisciplinary topics of immediate concern to organizations and businesses are the main objectives of the University. Luiss is renowned for making groundbreaking contributions to the Italian education system. In fact, some of the cutting-edge systems Luiss has introduced include the model of Ecole 42, a revolutionary coding school, 42 Roma Luiss and 42 Firenze Luiss by FCRF, with no fees, professors or degrees.
